CHINA: CHINA FLOOD

In 1998 I went to visit six orphanages in Hubei Province in China with a small group from the Foundation for Chinese Orphanges. Our trip coincided with the worst flooding in the province in over 50 years. We were taken on a quick tour of flooded farms, and saw people resignedly waiting for the flood waters to recede so they could return to their homes. They had already been waiting for weeks, and could expect to wait weeks more.
