Marlboro_Blenheim.jpg
The last New Year's Eve celebration ever at the Marlboro-Blenheim Hotel, Atlantic City, in 1977, before the historic structure was demolished the following fall. When it was built in 1902-1906, the Marlboro-Blenheim was the largest reinforced concrete building in the world. Most of the people present on this night were devoted guests who returned year after year to celebrate with decades-old friends. Thanks to fellow photographer and good friend Roz Gerstein, who accompanied me and generated the idea for this photo expedition. Jon Chase photo
