"Those buildings will never happen again. That's a part of my life that is gone. It's as if someone cut off my arm. Five generations of my family lived in those buildings, and now none of us live near each other. Not only is my family gone, but all my closest friends as well.
"A lot of people took whatever they could from the buildings when they left. But to me, it was home. I had too much respect and love for the building to deface it. And when i saw people taking the doorknobs and fixtures and mantlepieces, it made me sad, because they were taking a part of me."
